Staying hydrated is critical to your performance; soreness; good looking hair, skin and nails; joints; headaches; organs; blood pressure and, more importantly, for preventing illnesses.
It can be hard to recognize when you are dehydrated, especially as you age. Do not wait until you notice any of the following dehydration symptoms before you act.
• Little or no urine. Urine that is darker than usual.
• Dry mouth
• Sleepiness or fatigue
• Extreme thirst
• Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
• No tears when crying
• Dry skin, hair & nails
You must ACTIVELY prevent dehydration. The only way to do this is by drinking plenty of water.
To calculate your proper water intake in ounces, take your body weight and divide by 2.
For example, if you weigh 150lbs, you should drink 75oz of water per day.
